Who am I? That’s a big existential question! Depends which hat I’m wearing that day – teacher, trainer, mother, wife, community activist, runner, student, cyclist… Generally energetic, determined and enthusiastic about life.
I’m fascinated by people – what they value, how they think, what makes them tick. I love critical thinking, communication and literature as they provide a window to what it means to be human and the things we all have in common.
As a teacher, trainer and parent I love the ‘lightbulb moments’ when something clicks for a client or student or when things click for me!
I’ve worked in education and training for 15 years, across high schools in London, University campuses in Perth and offices and coffee shops in both.
I’m told my strengths are my practical, interactive style and creating an environment in which participants feel able and confident to try new skills. I’m dedicated to continually improving my practice to get the best for my clients.
I have a BA (Hons) in English and French literature from the University of York, UK and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from Goldsmiths College, the University of London. I also hold a CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults), have completed training in Google Educator and Moodle for online learning and have attended international conferences on educational innovation.
