Melissa Arthus

Melissa is an experienced accountant, CPA and Tax Agent and loves working with her clients. She has an intense love for all things numbers, and is passionate about helping small businesses and entrepreneurs achieve their goals and flourish.

About Melissa

Melissa has been in the Territory since she was just 10 years old, and is proud to call Darwin home. She is a self-confessed geek and spreadsheet devotee with a passion for small business. But there’s nothing more she loves to do than chill out with her husband and two boisterous (very noisy) young boys – and also drink nice wine and relax.

She is also a CPA and Tax Agent and has worked in a range of accounting and finance roles, from public practice, small businesses and NFP’s, to public sector. She has worked in the accounting industry for more than 14 years and launched Number Cruncher Accounting armed with the knowledge gained from highly experienced, trusted and respected ‘superstar’ mentors. Unlike most accountants in practice, Melissa has also worked IN business, NOT just external to them.

And she absolutely LOVES working with her clients. How many people can honestly say they enjoy coming to work every day? Well, Melissa does. And whilst it is a necessary evil, for Melissa it’s not just about tax returns or compliance. She has an intense love for all things numbers and an extreme enthusiasm for technology. She believes that technology is the future for all of us, not just accounting, and embracing it is the greatest decision small business can make if they truly want to succeed.

It is Melissa’s entrepreneurial spirit that drives her passion to help other businesses also.
