The program delivers low cost, high quality, digital advisory services to small businesses in metropolitan and regional areas across four key areas:

Websites and selling online

  • Choosing an appropriate online presence
  • Creating and managing a website
  • Assessing opportunities for online sales

Social media and digital marketing

  • Choosing an appropriate social media presence
  • Creating a social media account and content
  • Developing digital marketing strategies for social media and web-based advertising

Using small business software

  • Choosing the right software for managing sales, accounts and payroll, and customer relationships
  • Maximising the benefits of management software

Online security and data privacy

  • Assessing and managing cyber security threats
  • Meeting customer data privacy obligations
  • Protecting customer data

Program Outcomes

The program aims to:

  • Increase small business access to advisory services that support and enhance their digital competency
  • Increase the number of small businesses using digital tools
  • Improve small business satisfaction through meeting their increased demand for quality and tailored advice on digital business enquiries

How is it delivered?

The program is delivered through a combination of channels including:

  • Direct one-on-one advisory support delivered face to face, or remotely online or over the phone
  • Interactive webinars
  • Face to face workshops

The services will include assessment of small businesses’ needs, tailored digital engagement plans where required, and advisory support in relation to one or more of the priority digital capabilities.
