Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible for ASBAS services?

Any for-profit small business with an ABN and fewer than 20 employees within the three jurisdictions (WA, QLD, NT) is eligible to access the advisory services.

Each small business can access up to 24 hours of advisory throughout the contract period (up until June 2021).

What are the costs?

As a low-cost service, consultations are subsidised by the program. One on one consultations start from $40 plus GST per hour, workshops are $30 plus GST and fees and webinars are $15 plus GST and fees.

Who are the advisors?

ASBAS advisors hold formal qualifications in business or information technology related disciplines and have at least two years’ experience providing digital advice to small or medium sized businesses.

Across all three jurisdictions, our advisors are local experts. As small business owners themselves, they understand the challenges associated with running a business in their location. This allows them to provide tailored business advice in their area of expertise.

How do local governments partner with the ASBAS program?

Local government agencies are important in the delivery of the ASBAS program, particularly in regional areas. Often, LGAs are the central point of contact and are a resource hub for small business owners, so we partner with LGAs to provide workshops and connect with local small business owners.
