AUSTRALIAN SMALL BUSINESS ADVISORY SERVICE

The Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) Digital Solutions Program is a three-year Federal Government funded program aimed at increasing the digital capabilities of Small Businesses in Australia, through offering low cost, easy to understand workshops and advice directly to small business owners.

Business Station, in partnership with RDA Brisbane and Treeti, will deliver 46605 sessions across three jurisdictions between 2018 – 2021 in:

  • Western Australia
  • Queensland
  • Northern Territory

PROGRAM PRIORITIES

The program delivers low cost, high quality, digital advisory services to small businesses in metropolitan and regional areas across four key areas:

  • Choosing an appropriate online presence
  • Creating and managing a website
  • Assessing opportunities for online sales

  • Developing digital marketing strategies for social media and web-based advertising

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

The program aims to:

  • Increase small business access to advisory services that support and enhance their digital competency
  • Increase the number of small businesses using digital tools
  • Improve small business satisfaction through meeting their increased demand for quality and tailored advice on digital business enquiries

PROGRAM FORMAT

The program is delivered through a combination of channels including:

  • Direct one-on-one advisory support delivered face to face, or remotely online or over the phone
  • Interactive webinars
  • Face to face workshops

The services will include assessment of small businesses’ needs, tailored digital engagement plans where required, and advisory support in relation to one or more of the priority digital capabilities
