Board Member - Chairman

David Duncanson

David has more than 30 years experience in economic development and tourism development both in the private and public sectors. Prior to starting his own Consultancy business in February 2010 he was Manager of Economic Development and Marketing at the City of Fremantle where he oversaw all local government tourism functions including marketing Fremantle and events management. During that time he was responsible for introducing the “Find Yourself in Fremantle” branding which ran successfully for a number of years.

Since establishing his consultancy business David has under taken the development of economic development and tourism strategies and related projects throughout Western Australia from the Cocos Islands to Albany to Kununarra and also in the Northern Territory and South Australia.

David’s experience has spanned the private, public and not for profit sectors and because of that he has a unique understanding of the roles and relationships of organizations. David became Chairman of Business Station in 2013. He has been a judge in the West Australian Tourism awards for five years and has twice been a judge in the Australian National Tourism Awards. David has also served on the Regional Development Australia Perth committee and chairs the ECU Business and Innovation Centre Advisory Board.
