Mathew O’Neill is using his creative engineering mind to start his own business. Mathew needed a premise that was close to home and had a supportive environment.
He moved into the Gosnells Incubator on the 8th March 2016 which was the start of Rubix Design. In that time, he has used Business Stations resources well over the last 2 years, attending many networking events, seeking business advise and making the incubator his home.
He has built strong relationship with all the staff and fellow tenants within the incubator and is always there to lend a hand when needed.
In August 2017 Rubix Design was nominated for the Inaugural Launchpad Awards for the City of Gosnells. Although he did not come out the winner he was among the top 10 nominees.
Over the last two years he has secured ongoing work with many well-known mining companies and is continuously working on new equipment to better the industries safety and efficiency.
Mathew has gone from no employees to hiring one full time employee in June 2017 to just hiring a second casual employee in February 2018. With an increase in staff means more space is needed, so has recently moved from a 10sqmt office to a 20sqmt office. As Mathew continues to grow he will need commercial space with the right size workshop but for now the incubator is still a great fit for Mathew’s business model.
