Small Business Advice, Support and Training

Business Station is a non-profit provider of enterprise development services to businesses across Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory. We aim to build growth and capacity in small businesses by providing affordable and easily accessible training and business support.

Through a number of programs, we run regular group workshops, interactive webinars and face-to-face consultations. Our support to business owners extends through our incubators, which are home to over 70 small businesses. Membership also includes business health checks, business coaching and access to co-working and meeting spaces.

What is a Business Incubator?

Signing a commercial lease can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! Our incubators offer low-cost accommodation, services and management to kickstart your business. Our leases are highly flexible and can be tailored to meet your specific needs. More than just office space, our incubators offer members a range of in-house advisory services, strategic growth planning, networking opportunities and targeted introductions specific to the needs of your business.

Membership in our incubators also gives you access to our range of meeting and board rooms with state-of-the-art audio visual and seating options to suit any kind of event.

Our incubator is designed to help you establish your business and grow. All our tenants automatically qualify entry into our Business Accelerator Program. Free of charge, tenants have access to:

  • Professional speakers’ workshops
  • Business Health checks
  • Strategy sessions with business experts
  • Peer Group Support with other tenants
  • Social Media Support
  • Secretarial Services
  • Networking Events

We understand that signing a commercial lease can be daunting for start-ups or newly established businesses, so our leases are highly flexible, with only 30 days required for cancellations.

Our rent includes all outgoings such as utilities, security alarm monitoring and general cleaning of common areas.

Local government agencies are important in the delivery of the Digital Solutions program, particularly in regional areas. Often, Local Governments are the central point of contact and are a resource hub for small business owners, so we partner with them to provide workshops and connect with local small business owners. Digital Solutions advisors hold formal qualifications in business or information technology related disciplines and have at least two years’ experience providing digital advice to small or medium-sized businesses.

Across Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory, our advisors are local experts. As small business owners themselves, they understand the challenges associated with running a business in their location. To register for Digital Solutions, small business owners need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Be running your business to make a profit.
  2. Have fewer than 20 full-time employees (or equivalent).
  3. Have a valid Australian Business Number and be located in either Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Eligible business owners can then access 7-hours of business advice and mentorship for just $44 (including GST).

The Digital Solutions program is funded by the Commonwealth Government, through AusIndustry. Small business owners only need to pay a small fee of $44 to access the full program of advice and mentorship.
